In addition, WorkForce Software for Health Care has special
features for teaching hospitals that need to maintain their accreditation
from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
(ACGME).
Some of the key features of WorkForce Software for Health Care are:
- Residents use a badge reader to clock in and clock out or,
optionally, they use a web based screen to punch in and out
to record their time on duty. Other options include a self
service or administrative interface to record the hours worked.
- Pre-defined rules and templates monitor the duty hours of
the residents. When residents exceed pre-defined thresholds
that are set by the ACGME, the system generates an alert. The
alerts can be seen on-screen or e-mailed to an appropriate
administrator.
- Reports are available which show residents who
are out of compliance or close to pre-defined thresholds where
they may have a compliance issue.
- Special state requirements
or other organization specific limits can be incorporated into
the flexible rules engine.
